Barn Door Publishing  exists to honor and pay tribute to Michigan's great farmers, ranchers, and barn owners dedicating twenty years in 2020 to our craft of designing and creating illustrated, limited edition books by award-winning Author and Photographer Brenda Ervin. Descendant of Michigan pioneer family farmers and barn builders, the author's thirty-five plus years collecting first--person accounts traveling 60,000 miles personally visiting farms and barn sites gathering their stories, and primary source documents has been recognized by key leaders and educators. Her passionate quest left no stone unturned while researching never-before-published narratives, and capturing images of our agricultural landscape. Barns of Michigan, compiled with dozens of images and irreplaceable tales, is now available at a pre-order rate. The most comprehensive volume ever published on the subject in the state this Best Edition volume, includes a wide range of topics and valuable information from previous editions plus some of the amazing additional Michigan barn heritage you'll discover:
